Beating Adwords is another one of many ebooks claiming to be the last guide you will ever need to dominate adwords and other ppc advertising networks and and become the best PPC affiliate marketer ever. Obviously this is the claim of countless other make money ebooks, available on the the market, so naturally it is important to approach this type of product with caution and do your research.
I bought Beating Adwords to see if it could really compete with some of the other "make money with adwords" books currently out there. I quickly realized this book was at least up to par with current the current google adwords status. Anyone who has been advertising on google adwords knows how google recently implemented a lot of changes to the whole adwords system, including new policies and an updated quality score system. These changes were implemented to improve the quality of results being delivered through the adwords system, meaning higher quality advertisements could be served at a much lower cost to the advertiser, and while advertisements that are not up to par with quality standards can still be displayed, the advertisers are forced to pay much higher prices before their ads are displayed. The changes have meant that a lot of the older methods of profiting from google adwords are no longer valid. Beating Adwords has credibility as a genuine money making guide because it is current with current systems.
One of the major sections describes what adwords advertisers now like to call the "Google Slap." The Google Slap describes one of the major changes to the adwords quality score. The quality score is based on your Click Through Rate, your keyword selection, your landing page content, and previous adwords account activity. Some advertisors have noticed that if their quality score for any particular ad they are are running drops below a certain level, Google automatically changes their minimum bid to a very high level, sometimes as high as $10 per click. Beating adwords is certainly a high quality product, and what I like is the authors were honest about there product. They never said the product will make you rich, but rather provide for you the tools and knowledge to profit reliably from your adwords campaigns, and while these tools will not make you rich, they will provide you the tools for you to help make yourself rich.
